Here's some random projects I've worked on, past and present. You might pick up on a trend here... many of them are kind of geeky. Well... What can I say? ;-)
- This website? Sure, I guess so. Well, I just got the HTML here out of the late '90s and into the 21st century, using CSS rather than table-based content layout...
- Squirrels Go Like This, a blog my wife and I write about our current projects. A little bit of everything... This is probably the best place to find up-to-date stuff about me these days.
- Goofing around with computers and software.
Past...
- The Wurlitzer -- AKA "Thad's Organ", this was a early 1970s vintage electronic church-style console organ. Definitely a "project" since it was broken when I first found it; I fixed it myself. Here's some info and pictures of the restoration work.
- The Bass Lamp -- Once a wrecked beyond repair old double bass; now a stylish floor lamp in my home. Though others may beg to differ on the "stylish" part. Here's some info on the project.
- Model train display shelf
- Protective cover for a desk so it can be used as a work bench
- Condo Repair! -- My last condo's bathroom wasn't in the best shape when I first moved in. Leaky tile in the shower stall, worn out mirror, bad paint, trouble with the tub drain, broken folding doors... lucky for you, I'm not bored enough to put pictures up of this. But it was fun to work on. :)
Pie in the Sky...
I've got a million interesting ideas, large and small, waiting to be implemented if I only had the time and money. Boredom is for boring people! There's just way too much out there that's interesting to do. Here's a sampling of my more outlandish ideas. What do you think?
- I'd like to build a pipe organ. Originally, the Wurlizer console organ was going to be the basis for this project, since one of the most complex and expensive parts of a pipe organ is its console. But due to space concerns, I had to give the Wurlitzer away. That brings me back to square one on that project. Have you done this? If so, please email me!
- More wacky ideas to go here later...
