About Thad
Thad onstage at Boston Symphony Hall

Here's the express version. I grew up in Needham, MA; graduated from Needham High School. I then attended Lehigh University, graduating with a BS in Computer Engineering. While at Lehigh I was very active in the Lehigh University Philharmonic Orchestra. It was a great four years!

After college, I moved back to Massachusetts, where I worked for Brooktrout Technology for a little over six years. I met and worked with a lot of great people there. I genuinely appreciate all the opportunities Brooktrout provided me.

Fulfilling a vow I made at my 10 year high school reunion in late 2005, I moved to Philadelphia, PA in early 2006. This has worked out better for me than I ever could have predicted: the same day I attended a job fair held by my current employer, I also went out on my first date with Angie, the wonderful woman who is now my wife. (Talk about your productive weekends!) We live in a great Philly neighborhood, and have surrounded ourselves with an amazingly varied and talented group of friends here.

I do a lot of random stuff in my spare time these days (see my projects). One of my activities of choice is playing the Double Bass. In Massachusetts, I played with the Newton Symphony. Good, challenging, interesting music. Playing in that group, I performed in: Boston Symphony Hall; Carnegie Hall in New York; Lincoln Center in New York (twice!); and Jordan Hall in Boston. How great is that?! I'd love to find a similar Philly-area group to play in, but that hasn't happened just yet.
